Picnic at Ravinia
The Ravinia Festival of music takes place every summer in Highland Park. Each night there is a show in the pavilion and guests have the option of purchasing a ticket for inside the pavilion or for picnicking on the lawn. The Ravinia Festival hosts a breadth of artists from pop to jazz to classical to Latin and more, so there is something for everyone. It is recommended that you bring a blanket, wine, picnic foods and some citronella candles and spread out on the lawn to enjoy the music. Metra trains run from the city and you can also drive.
